Kirsty Brooks
Kirsty Brooks is the Director of Driftwood Manuscripts, an assessment and editing agency for writers. She has a Journalism Degree, an Advanced Diploma in Professional Writing and is a former Chair of the South Australian Writers’ Centre.
In 2004 Kirsty was awarded the Barbara Hanrahan Fellowship as part of the South Australian Premier's Awards. She runs workshops and seminars on writing, publishing and manuscript assessment and is a mentor for emerging writers. She also writes for The Adelaide Magazine.
The Vodka Dialogue, the first in Kirsty Brooks’ Cassidy Blair series, was shortlisted for the 2004 Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Novel and an earlier novel, Lady Luck, was shortlisted for the 2003 Ned Kelly Award for Best First Crime Novel.
She lives in Adelaide.
